cadaver

stripped

on the side walk
all the people
you walked away from

stripping their souls
down to the once white bones

bones
now soft
and hollow
and black

perhaps
from the smoke
you blew in their once bright faces

faces
now featureless
futureless
empty cavity
filled with sadness
extended into rickety
raggedy hands

hands
turned into a spiritless lump
by the way you took away
the lines from their palms
and the ground beneath
their feet

feet
now mere sticks
broken into 1524 pieces
pieces hanging
onto their hoarse
coarse bruised
vocal chords

vocal chords
clenched crumpled
arrested in your fists
clasped tightly
deep into your bottomless
heartless breast pockets
shoving iniquity into their eyes

eyes
which once saw the world
in all its beauty
and reflected back
the same with an added colour
have now turned pale
paler than the colour of
an abandoned cause
sucking the darkness in
in its vacant sockets
emitting nothing

nothing
is now what they are
as they spill their nothingness
on the side walks
dirtying your shoes and sandals
with their existence
invisible

invisible
though they are
to you and the many like you
still you reach out
to stifle out
stamp out
their measly barely there shadows

shadows
which have forfeited their own bodies
and questioningly ask themselves
who are you

they are who were
hurled into the blackest black hole
of this world
by the who's who

the who's who
renowned
by their business
of walking away
from all the people
stripping their soul
on the side walk

side walk

now an urbane cemetery
celebratory
of
empty souls
hollow bones
dug out faces
puppet hands
broken feet
voices severed
scooped out sights
untouchable invisibility
and nailed down shadows

stripped

pith

we are

heavy light
feather stone
metal rust
earth's crust

two poles
north and south
with one
open mouth

waiting
to swallow
the sky

we are

day night
lovers fight
soul fly
freedom sigh
unified
to nurse

the grief
we bleed together

we are

a swan lake
joyful mistake
we break
we make
knowingly

standing
next to each other

we are

lines
on our foreheads
and lines
at the corner
of our lips
kissing

that one sweet spot
bitter sweet

we are

parallel carousel
simultaneous
touching fingertips
parted lips

speaking
the same silence

we are

never ever
bare hidden
borne left
alone
two tunes
of forlorn

woven
into a love-song

we are

like tears
which appear
in pairs

born out of something
that touched our hearts

we are

sunset sunrise
taking place
on different
horizons

afar
watching each other

we are

grains of sand
sublime rough
slipped held
monochrome rainbow
preserving

footprints
you mine
and me yours

we are

contradictions confirmations
understanding insanity
weakness strength
spent gained

a timely fall
into our wonderland

we are

all that we can be
and all that
we can't
all that we hope to be
and

all that

we are

kindle

someday, one day
i shall gift you
a window

one
which opens
outwards

one
which
lets you choose
the sights
you see

every time
you open the
window
to the outside
world

one which
lets you reflect
the beautiful world
you hold within

someday, one day,
i shall gift you
a window

one which
opens
to your soul

where the pastures
are greener than green

and the sky
bluer
than you ever knew

and
rainbows
are not a
fleeting sight

and where
wishing stars
are seen
even in broad daylight

and where
sparkles are
wrapped in
snow flakes

where a pebble
bounces off
endlessly
against
pristine lakes

someday, one day
i shall gift you this
gift

someday, one day
you may choose
to call it
magical

or something
as simple

as
kindle
